LDL Particle Number

Measures the number of LDL particles in the blood.

What it tests: The actual count of LDL particles in your blood, not just the cholesterol they carry.

Why it is important: Particle number tracks more closely with cardiovascular risk than LDL cholesterol alone. Standard cholesterol panels can give false reassurance to people whose particle counts are actually elevated.
